From the Director
I got interested in computers at an early age. I was initially drawn to computer games at first, playing long hours of pc games at the time, until I was introduced to the world of programming by my computer teacher in my primary school. I wrote my first computer program in grade 5, using the QBASIC programming language that came bundled with earlier versions of Windows at the time. I instantly became hooked at the limitless power presented by computers and have been involved with computer based projects ever since through my company MapAfrica. I later discovered Linux and then Bitcoin years later and was blown away by the sheer power and freedom that came with those technologies. Living in a country like Ghana which didn't have a lot of financial products at the time, the freedom of fully owning and controlling your finances that came with the introduction of web3 technology was a whole new ball game and I decided to explore and document the development of this on the African continent with my film company Clarion Productions/OXYStudios.
